About Joanna
Clarinetist
Joanna McCoskey Wiltshire (she/her) is a clarinetist/teacher based in Wilmington, Delaware where she teaches clarinet lessons at the Music School of Delaware. She has taught clarinet lessons to students ranging from beginners to college students. She is currently working on her
DMA, which is a Doctor of Musical Arts degree, in clarinet performance.
Her husband, Matthew is a medical doctor, so they will both be doctors but in different fields soon! Joanna has performed with many professional orchestras and bands down the east coast and enjoys collaborating with composers to commission (ask and then pay them!) to write new music. She has a twin sister, Jessica, who plays the flute and is a music teacher too, even though their parents were not musicians!
Along with being a clarinetist and clarinet teacher, Joanna is a
conductor and has conducted bands and clarinet choirs. In her free time, she likes to read, take walks with her dog, Mia, practice French, hang out with her friends, and learn new crafts. She also has three cats named after Harry Potter characters, Weasley, Lily and Sirius.
